The terms and conditions govern the relationship between Skandino Travel and you as the customer when purchasing a trip. The agreement is entered into and executed in accordance with the Package Travel Act.
An agreement for the purchase of a package trip or registration for a group trip is made between the customer and Skandino Travel and becomes binding for both parties when the deposit is paid to Skandino Travel.
After the customer has paid the deposit as instructed during the registration for the trip, the customer confirms being bound by and agrees to follow the following travel conditions. Registration is binding for Skandino Travel when the customer has completed payment (deposit or full payment). By registering, the customer also confirms acceptance of the following terms. It is also expected that the customer is aware of general public information, such as climatic conditions at the chosen destination at the chosen time.
If the customer does not accept the offer within the specified deadline or does not pay the deposit or full payment on time, Skandino Travel is no longer bound by the offer.
Skandino Travel has the right to make necessary and reasonable changes to the program and the scope of services related to accommodation, transportation, and other services, as far as Skandino Travel deems necessary and reasonable. Skandino Travel shall not be held responsible for losses, damages, expenses, or other claims related to these changes, and the registered participant is not entitled to reimbursement beyond the given refund options.
The price of the trip includes the services mentioned in the agreement, as well as all taxes and fees.
At destinations, there may be charges for local fees, entrance fees, and taxes that cannot be invoiced at the time of agreement, as these payments relate directly to local rules or consumption of extra services beyond what is stated in the agreement. At Skandino Travel, all prices are in Danish Kroner (DKK) unless otherwise stated. If the customer defaults on their part of the agreement regarding payment, Skandino Travel has the right to cancel the agreement.
The deposit constitutes 30% of the trip’s price, but at least 2000 DKK per person. For certain trips, the deposit may be higher. For group trips, the deposit is paid upon registration, and for other trips, the deposit is also paid upon booking. After that, the full customized itinerary is sent. The deposit is non-refundable.
Final payment must be made no later than 60 days before the departure date, unless otherwise stated. Tickets and other travel documents will be sent so that the customer has them at least seven days before departure, unless otherwise agreed. In connection with Danish as well as local holidays at the destination, it may be necessary to pay the remaining amount earlier than usual. This is due to changed payment deadlines with, for example, hotels and other suppliers.
If the customer wishes to make changes to the package trip, they must contact Skandino Travel as soon as possible. If Skandino Travel can make changes to the package trip, the customer must cover the additional expenses incurred by the changes, as well as a change fee of 750 DKK per person. Skandino Travel is not obligated to make changes to the package trip. If the customer wishes to make changes, and this is not possible, the change is considered a cancellation of the package trip and a new booking.
Refund of the travel payment or parts thereof, paid to Skandino Travel, will only occur under the following circumstances:
If the trip is canceled by Skandino Travel, the already paid amount will be refunded to the customer.
If cancellation is made by the customer later than 60 days before departure, Skandino Travel has the right to calculate the total price of the trip in cancellation fees.
It will not be possible to obtain a refund during or after the trip.
If a refund is applicable, the customer is requested to provide bank details (account number and sort code) to facilitate the transfer of the agreed amount. These details can be provided via email or another electronic form without risk, as they are not sensitive information and will only be used for the refund.
The customer can ‘freely’ cancel a package trip if within a period of 14 days before the commencement of the package trip at the destination or in the immediate vicinity thereof, there are acts of war, natural disasters, life-threatening and contagious diseases, or other events equivalent to these. The event must be established or documented in a sufficiently objective manner, e.g., by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, health authorities, etc. See www.um.dk and www.ssi.dk. For round trips, the customer only has the right to cancel the part of the package trip that takes place in the advised against area. However, if this part of the package trip constitutes a significant portion of the package trip, the customer has the right to cancel the entire trip.
Claims for compensation, proportional reduction in the price of the trip (compensation), or inconvenience allowance due to defects that have been properly complained about and not rectified by Skandino Travel must be submitted to Skandino Travel within a reasonable time after the conclusion of the trip. Otherwise, the customer loses the right to make claims against Skandino Travel.
The customer must have a valid passport with a minimum of six months’ validity at the end of the trip, as well as necessary documents such as visas and proof of required vaccinations to complete the trip. Rejselyst informs the customer about passport and visa requirements as well as other necessary documents at the time of agreement. Special entry and exit requirements may apply to certain countries, and these will be indicated in the agreement. The customer can contact Rejselyst for further information on these rules.
If the customer does not have a Danish passport or has dual citizenship, the customer must inform Rejselyst so that necessary advice can be provided, including referral to relevant authorities. See www.um.dk and www.ssi.dkfor further information.
If the customer needs to bring medication containing controlled substances, it is the customer’s responsibility to provide documentation of this need. The customer can contact their own doctor to prepare relevant documentation.
